Superman: Man of Tomorrow, the 41st entry in the DC Universe Movies franchise, chronicles the early days of Clark Kent rather than his origin per se, focusing in on the future Man of Steel on his way to finding his identity as a superhero.
Working as an intern at the Daily Planet, this Kansan (by way of Krypton) will have to utilize his still not fully mastered powers to square off against the likes of cosmic supervillain Parasite and intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. Along the way, Clark Kent will meet the likes of Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, and the Martian Manhunter on the road to becoming Superman.Superman: Man of Tomorrow also ushers in a brand new animation style for the DC Universe Movies, a style more akin to traditional comic book art than the animated feature film fare previously used in most of the past 40 films in the franchise.
Hosted by Doom Patrol and Superman: Unbound’s Matt Bomer, the Superman: Man of Tomorrow panel includes cast members Darren Criss (Clark Kent), Brett Dalton (Parasite), and Ike Amadi (Martian Manhunter), as well as screenwriter Tim Sheridan, director Chris Palmer, supervising producer Butch Lukic.
The voice cast ensemble of Superman: Man of Tomorrow also includes Star Trek and Heroes’ Zachary Quinto as Lex Luthor, San Andreas and True Detective’s Alexandra Daddario as Lois Lane, Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead) as cosmic bounty hunter Lobo, Piotr Michael as Perry White, and Neil Flynn and Bellamy Young as Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively. Cristina Milizia, Eugene Byrd, April Stewart, Cissy Jones, and David Chen also co-star.
Superman: Man of Tomorrow is available on Digital on August 23 and on 4K & Blu-ray Combo Packs starting September 8.
