Even more impressively, they’ll analyze the room size and shape to deliver appropriate audio quality for the space.

Both models feature calibration microphones

The HW-Q950A and HW-Q800A are equipped with microphones inside the soundbars and their subwoofers. These microphones enable you to receive the best sound for the room, as well as determine the most appropriate location and position for the devices. In particular, the HW-Q950A delivers 11.1.4 channel surround sound, whereas the HW-Q800A boasts a 3.1.2 channel configuration that’s compatible with wireless surround speakers.

They support Apple’s AirPlay 2 and Alexa

These Samsung Q soundbars feature Apple’s AirPlay 2, enabling you to conveniently stream music from your device. Furthermore, with the added benefit of built-in Alexa, you can control the devices via voice command.

The soundbars adjust the audio based on the room

Both soundbars use a technology called SpaceFit Sound that can deliver the best sound for the room you’re using them in. Also, the devices boast other audio-enhanced features, such as Q Symphony and Game Mode Pro. Q Symphony releases audio from the soundbar and TV speakers simultaneously. Game Mode Pro detects a console and adjusts the audio quality accordingly, so you can become engulfed in gaming.

Finally, you can team these soundbars with the 2.0.2 wireless surround sound kit (yet to be released), so you could buy a standalone soundbar and add satellite speakers down the line.

Samsung has yet to reveal the cost and release dates. But with the predecessor soundbar—HW-Q950T—costing $1,800, you can expect a similar price.
