“Not another streaming service” is starting to become a common refrain amongst cordcutters with new options popping up every few months. Paramount Plus, however, isn’t exactly a new service but a rebranded and majorly updated one.
CBS All Access was previously known as the home of Big Brother live feeds, Star Trek: Discovery, and all the NCIS episodes you can stomach, while slowly accumulating shows and other content from networks like BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, and even the Smithsonian Channel. The amount of content on the service would actually surprise anyone who believes it solely includes CBS shows, which is why it’s no surprise that the name has now been officially changed to Paramount Plus.
Paramount Plus includes all of the content found on CBS All Access as well as a bevy of new shows and movies for subscribers to enjoy. CBS All Access originals like Star Trek: Picard and The Good Fight are now airing on Paramount Plus, soon to be joined by Paramount Plus originals like The Challenge: All-Stars, Behind the Music, Kamp Koral, The Real Criminal Minds, and a revival of BET’s The Game.
How much does Paramount Plus cost?
Despite adding much more content, there was no change in price when the rebranding from CBS All Access to Paramount Plus occured. You can join the Paramount Plus Limited Commercials plan for just $5.99 per month or upgrade to the No Commercials plan for $9.99 per month. Alternatively, choosing an annual plan can save you over 15% extra on the total cost though you’ll have to pay for the entire year up-front.
Can you get Paramount Plus for free?
Looking to try out Paramount Plus before becoming a paying member? The service is offering a free 1-month trial right now with both its Limited Commercials and No Commercials plans. Simply sign up for a new membership at Paramount Plus and you’ll score 30 days of access for free. The subscription will renew at its regular price and charge your payment method instantly once 30 days have passed unless you decide to cancel the subscription beforehand.
What about Paramount Plus deals?
If CBS All Access’ past is anything to go by, we’re not expecting too many deals to appear for Paramount Plus. However, one way to save on your subscription is by choosing an annual plan instead of monthly. The annual plan saves you more than 15% off the total cost though it must be paid in full when you sign up.
Another offer is available at Amazon via Prime Video. You can get one month of commercial-free Paramount Plus for only $0.99 when you sign up through Amazon Prime Video. This deal is only available for Prime members and only valid through April 4, though you can start a free 30-day Prime membership to take advantage of this offer as well.
An even better deal is reserved for students. You can save 25% by signing up with student credentials at Paramount Plus right now!
