Chaturshringi is the name of the mountain with four peaks, as the temple is situated in the top of the hill, so according to the name of the hill the temple is named Chaturshringi temple. The temple was built on the reign of the Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj and is one of the pilgrimages place in Pune. Every year hundreds of devotees come to worship the goddess of reigning deity of Pune.

Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapathi Temple

The Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapathi Temple is located in Budhwar Pet near Shaniwar Wada in Pune and is 4 Km away from Pune Junction. The temple is devoted to God Ganesha and is one of the popular tourist attractions in Pune. The temple is built by Dagdusheth Halwai, in the year 1893 AD. The temple got simple design but is very beautiful that’s why attracts a lot of tourist attractions. The Ganesh idol is decorated by nearly 8 Kgs of Gold. Many devotees come here to watch the evening aarti. The temple is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year during annual 10 day Ganapathi festival.

Sarasbaug Ganapathi Temple

The Sarasbaug Ganapathi Temple is located at Sarasbaug near Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Pune, and is just 5 Km away from Pune Junction. The temple is a very old temple in Pune and also one of the top pilgrimage places in Pune. The ancient idol of God in this temple was built of kurund stone and the later idols are made by Rajasthani artisans. The temple is known as the sacred ground of many devotees and people come from around the world to visit this temple.
