It was Tech Mahindra‘s first virtual Annual Shareholders’ Meeting, and Mahindra had to go through one of the most difficult tasks ever since the country went under lockdown in March-end: he had to dress up for the boardroom. In a tweet, the business tycoon elaborated that he had to put on a suit and tie again, after months, to look presentable at the annual meet.

The 64-year-old businessman’s meeting ensemble generated a lot of response from his 8-million followers. Some appreciated his conduct, while others were keen to see him in a different attire.
In order to set a new corporate normal for web meets, the billionaire tycoon is now crowdsourcing suggestions for deciding the best outfit for the Mahindra & Mahindra Annual General Meeting on August 7.
Mahindra spent Wednesday morning scouting through his wardrobe for outfit options and posted a poll on Twitter in the afternoon. “Given my delegatory style of management, I’m crowd-sourcing the decision about the dress code I should adopt for the forthcoming M&M Annual Shareholder Meeting,” he wrote.

In early April, two weeks after the first phase of lockdown was announced in India, Mahindra had confessed to wearing a lungi under his shirt on some video calls from home. He also said that he has been wearing lungis ever since his schooldays in Ooty.
